….is our Program Manager.  She graduated from Illinois State University with a Major in Parks and Recreation Administration and double sequenced in Therapeutic Recreation and Program Management.  Liz has over 20 years of experience working in the field of Social Services, primarily with people with disabilities.  Since relocating from Illinois 4 years ago, Liz worked for a local Not-For-Profit as a Supervisor at their Family Homeless Shelter.  She is excited to expand her 20 plus years of service to those with differing abilities at Cortney’s Place and looks forward to the continued expansion and growth of this incredible program for adults that have a true passion for achieving a self-directed life.

…is our Lead Direct Care Provider. She graduated with a certification in Massage Therapy from the Arizona School of Massage Therapy in 2006 and is currently working toward her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education. Originally from Kentucky, Sarah has also resided in the states of Tennessee, Indiana, Kansas and Florida. Sarah returned to the Valley of the Sun in 2004. She is a newcomer working with individuals with developmental disabilities having spent 12 years previously in the Food and Beverage Service Industry,

…is a Direct Care Staff Member. He has several years of experience in health care, including two and a half years at Marc Center, working in the group home setting. He and his wife Stephanie have eight children and fifteen grandchildren. He considers this life experience an invaluable resource. He is an Arizona native who spent some time away studying art at the Art Students League in NYC. As an artist he has previously owned and operated his own gallery where live portrait sessions provided a cherished means of gaining insight into the individual.

Prior work experience include thirty two years in the newspaper business, mostly directing people in a manager/supervisor capacity.
