THREE PILLARS OF CORTNEY’S PLACE

SERVE

We provide services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are 18 years and older and their families.

SHARE

We commit to share our mission with the community on all platforms, so our resources and network are available to those who need it.

SUPPORT

We vow to never allow opportunities or experiences to be lost and we thrive to keep this promise through continued support from sponsors, partnerships and donors.

HISTORY

In 2007, we opened Cortney’s Foundation. A safe, engaging, and innovative environment for those that aged out of the public-school system. As our program grew and we became more focused on delivering the mission, the name was changed in 2011, to Cortney’s Place.

FOUNDER’S STORY

In 1985, we welcomed our firstborn, Cortney, into this world. Born with multiple complications, she endured numerous life-threatening operations in the first weeks of her infant life, continuing into her early childhood years. Often times the thought of what she was enduring medically was almost unspeakable as we looked upon our child. But somehow, the strength that we drew upon as husband and wife during those times taught us important life lessons.
