Cortney’s Place loves volunteers! Our volunteers help us offer additional enrichment opportunities for our members by leading specialized activities, supporting staff lead activities, assisting in fundraising events, joining committees, and so much more! If this sounds like a team you’d like to be part of, please fill out the volunteer application and submit it by email to [email protected].

“I love my time at Cortney’s Place! The students and staff fill my heart. They give far more to me than I could ever give to them.”

— Ann Hodgins, Reading Volunteer

“Cortney’s Place is a fun and welcoming environment. I know whatever I plan, the students will approach the activity with excitement, and it always brightens my day when I can find time to stop by between classes!”

— Annabelle Winssinger, Program Volunteer

“Cortney’s Place staff and its members are very dedicated to learning skills to live your best life.  Since 2010, I have had the pleasure of working with their members, having fun as we learn self-advocacy, self-determination and life skills through the Ability360’s This is MY Life program.”

—Lynn Black Ability360, Self-Advocacy Volunteer

“Cortney’s Place provides an incredibly important space for adults with disabilities to be themselves, build friendships, and interact with peers in a meaningful way. Once people with disabilities age out of high school there are not many services/activities geared towards them, so it’s exciting to see an organization that provides intentional programming for this underserved population. Any moment spent at Cortney’s Place is guaranteed to be joyous and fun!”

— Tyler King, Program Volunteer
