Welcome to the Cortney’s Place Emerging Leaders Summer Internship Program! We are excited to have you join us in our mission of unmasking potential and celebrating ability.
This program is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) while helping you grow as a leader, advocate, and active member of your community.
(Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
This program is open to students entering high school through senior year who are interested in leadership, community engagement, and supporting individuals with diverse abilities.

50% – Direct Engagement: Working directly with Cortney’s Place members
50% – Project-Based Work: Planning and completing an individual or group project
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) are conditions that impact cognitive functioning, communication, learning, and/or physical abilities. These disabilities begin before the age of 18 and vary widely from person to person.

Upon completion, interns may be invited to join the Cortney’s Place Junior Board, providing an opportunity to continue their involvement and grow as leaders within the organization.
